Yay!

I got my new computer!!
I love that it has a number pad.
I’m kind of weirdo like that.
I am attempting to get used to Windows 8.1.
I feel like I need to take a class.
It’s kind of overwhelming.
BUT
First and foremost,
I got my Bamboo Wacom Drawing Tablet hooked up and ready to roll and I must say,
This 17 inch screen is AWESOME for doodling.

When I have some more time I’ll do a cool doodle.

Math Homework …

For those of you who weren’t in the know,
I was homeschooled.
Ok.
Moving right along…
For some reason one year, I think maybe I was in 8th grade,
I felt led to create an inspirational proverb at the bottom of each of my math papers upon their completion.
This went on for quite some time, and my mom still teases me about  it every now and then.
The moral of that little story is that I still like making up quotes, poems and proverbs.
I am going to be a perpetual 8th grader for my entire life, it seems.
But it’s okay.
I embrace that.
Here is one I made today, because I wanted to play with my drawing tablet again.

Fox Mulder ::: Happy Labor Day

Ok, so his real name is David Duchovny,
But after watching so many X-Files episodes,
It’s really hard to think of him as a real life guy.
If you weren’t aware, all 9 seasons are ‘Watch Instantly’ on Netflix.
Yeah.
Now you’ve got some work cut out for you.
(If you missed the Gillian Anderson drawing, you can click here to see it)
I spent the baby’s nap-time today at Starbucks drawing this one.
And sipping on a Pumpkin Spice Latte.
Never mind that it’s atrociously hot for September.
September means ‘Fall’ to me,
And I’m going to have as many Pumpkin Spice lattes as I can, regardless of the weather.

…Oh and Daddy was home with baby so it’s ok that I left for a bit 🙂

Hope everyone had a splendid Labor Day and got to go to a parade or grill out or something!
Yeah!

This is Bryce.

Bryce is one of the sweetest kids you could ever meet.
I used to babysit him and his brother when they were tiny tots.
His family found that he had lymphoma when he was 11 and he has been battling it off and on for several years now.
He had a successful bone marrow transplant 1 year ago, but is still working on getting healthy and currently struggling with some kidney issues.
Nobody, let alone a child, should have to go through what he has,
Yet this amazing kid always has a smile on his face and will strike up a conversation with anyone.
If you or someone you love has been affected by childhood cancer,
Or heck, even if you are just a compassionate soul,
Reblog this or spread the awareness in some other way
And pray for Bryce and the other children who are fighting against this awful disease.
