Paper Ceilings & Chandeliers

While in Chicago over the past weekend,
We stopped at the Houndstooth Saloon to kill some time while waiting for the Volcano Choir show at the Metro.

Though it was very loud, mostly due to the fact that it’s located directly under the train tracks,
I was happily distracted with the adorable ceiling and decided that I would try that someday in my own home.

Dreamland Apartments. And Madeleine.

Here’s a really great idea.
I’m always full of those…

What if I bought an old crappy apartment complex
Then gutted it and created unique rooms…
THEN on top of that, I would furnish them awesomely and rent the units out at astronomical rates but I could get away with it because each apartment would be so delightful and comfortable and livable that people would be willing to part with their hard earned money in exchange for such wonderfulness and ease of moving on their part.

Obviously, I would call it “Dreamland”
Because it would be my dream of designing cool places for people to live
ALSO
They would be able to move right in and live their dream.
And have sweet dreams at night.
Or day.
Here are some things I’ve been pinning that make me want to do this…oh so badly…
I did NOT just say ‘oh so’…

(side note: WHY HAVE I NEVER DISCOVERED MADELEINE PEYROUX UNTIL JUST TODAY! I AM MAD AT YOU IF YOU KNEW OF HER AND DIDN’T TELL ME! Also my ears are melting off,  joyously of course…)

Oh yes so the pictures.

Oh I could go on forever.
What’s that?
One more?
Oh okay…

Somebody pull me away from Pinterest NOW!
Wait no don’t.
GAH.
Love me some Pandora.
